We’re celebrating the return of the life-sized, colourfully lit toy train to Alight at Night Festival! Picture this: a dazzling train, adorned with twinkling lights, merrily making its way as you soak in the holiday spirit. Included in your Alight at Night admission and located before you enter the event.

How can I purchase tickets?
- Tickets for Alight at Night are on sale exclusively online.
- Alight at Night has limited capacity and most nights are expected to sell out.
- To secure your desired date & time, purchase your tickets in advance prior to arrival, as a limited number of entries are available per evening and per time slot.
- Plan to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before to your scheduled time.
- Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Accessibility Night tickets are available by making an appointment with our Guest Relations Unit.
How do I book tickets as season pass holder?
Premium Passport to the Past season pass holders can book online by logging into their account or they can present their pass upon arrival at admissions onsite for any date and time they wish.

Who can visit Alight at Night?
Alight at Night is a family event, and all are welcome.
What are your opening hours and dates of operation for Alight at Night?
- Open from 5pm – 10pm. Last entry at 9:00 pm.
- From Friday, December 1 – Sunday, December 3.
- From Thursday, December 7 – Sunday, December 10.
- From Thursday, December 14 – Sunday, December 17.
- From Wednesday, December 21 – Friday, December 23.
- Closed December 24 and 25.
- Nightly from Monday, December 26 – Saturday, January 6.
- Accessibility Nights will be offered December 5, 12 and 19.
Will parking be available?
Parking is available at no charge onsite.
Do you offer a discount for military personnel?
Thank you for your service. We are pleased to offer discounted admission to Canadian Armed Forces members and their families, veterans and more. Please show a valid CF One card at admissions.
How long will Santa be at Alight at Night?
- Santa will be in his workshop preparing for Christmas from December 1-23 from 5pm-9pm on a nightly basis in St. Nick’s Winter Workshop.
- Guests will have the ability to have a photo with Santa with physical distancing will be in place.
Is Alight at Night an indoor or outdoor event?
This event primarily takes place outdoors. We recommend you come in comfort and dress prepared for cooler weather.
How long is the experience?
The Alight at Night experience is approximately 40 minutes.
Are pets permitted?
Only service animals are permitted.
Can I take photos at Alight at Night?
- Yes, you are encouraged to take photos and share on social media, but please avoid using a flash. Our event hashtag is #AlightatNight and #UpperCanadaVillage.

What happens if it rains?
- As Alight at Night is an outdoor event, it will be offered rain or shine.
- Tickets are non-refundable.
- In the chance of inclement weather, we may choose to close and will post cancelled evenings which will be listed on Upper Canada Village’s Facebook page @UpperCanadaVill.

Pommier Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
Are Pommier Carriage rides available?
Yes, Pommier carriage rides will be offered again this season. It includes:
- A private tour around the Village for $150 plus tax.
- Rides include general admission for 4, half-hour tour through the Village streets and gourmet departing gift.
Accessibility Nights
Will there be Accessibility Nights?
- The Village will be offering Accessibility Nights on December 5, 12 and 19, 2023.
- Guests or groups with limited mobility or sensory processing issues can ride in the comfort of their own vehicles to view Alight at Night.
- Reservations can be made by making an appointment with a guest relations agent using the below link to book a time slot for Alight at Night.
